Because the quality of the OnLive service depends so much on your bandwidth and latency, I thought it would be interesting to see what our current results are. It's not a perfect way to measure performance, but it gives a good overview.

You can use SpeedTest.net to perform the results place the image in here so we can all see (click "copy forum link" once the results are complete and then paste here)

Here's mine to the same server:



As you can see its pretty dire. I have an ADSL connection, and the speed restriction is due to my distance to the telephone exchange (I'm on the outer edge of the maximum range for ADSL). Might be enough for SD quality OnLive though (should the service ever reach the UK).

Is 97ms a normal ping for you on ADSL, it seems a little high - but it was 7PM on a Sunday so quite a busy time

I was surprised I could get a 7Mb/s download actually, it's the highest I've seen before - normally it's around 5Mb/s with a 40ms ping.
